Achieve Anything

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

With all the information I share on this blog, it essentially leads to one thing. The fact that any human being from what ever background can achieve anything they want. All they need, and its something you have if you are reading this, is the desire to learn and grow.

The information is all out there and all of it for free. The only reason why anyone can not achieve is if they don’t want to, and this goes for every single person on the planet regardless of situation.

So in this quick post I only ask one question, what is it you want to achieve and focus on that.

The Secret

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

Knowing how popular The Secret is and how I have finally come to understand it so that it works for me, I wanted to share my current experiences with it. Mainly because I see so many people who have watched it, do nothing but the same as they have always done in the past, and then say it doesn’t work. Well I am here to say it does work, and its fantastic.

For those that haven’t watched or read The Secret yet, its a mindset, that has been told and taught for millenium about how you can have everything you ever wanted. Its not actually a secret either, many books have been written on the subject over the past few decades and even books written over a century ago, but have been reprinted.

So the big secret is….. “attraction” and to add to that, “thoughts become things”. Essentially you attract into your life the predominate thoughts in your mind each and every day.

I will leave the rest of the details to the movie, but I will talk about the two ways you could look at it. The most common perception I seem to come across (yes i know) of the secret is its some magical fairy dust that gets sprinkled around and things come to you by just thinking things. The other is, by thinking about certain events, yourself, your subconscious mind and actions will start doing things to head towards that goal.

There are truths to both (minus the fairy dust) and I think they work quite well together. First lets start with the logical side. If you are continuously thinking about how to acheive a goal, you will start to see things that have always been there and new ways to achieve your goal. This can mainly be attributed to your reticular activation system. If you have passion or excitement about your goal you will start enjoying yourself and doing things that help you acheive that goal. Most people who do not yet believe in the secret at the fairy dust level, should at least be able to agree on the second view of things.

Now to the fairy dust. If you study quantum physics, the main thing is, that your observation changes the state of what you are observing. This is one mind bending fact, but it is proven. The best explaination I have come across for this is What the Bleep Do We Know!?.

So what’s the big lesson I have learnt using the secret. Focus only on the end result and what it will be like to have it. Forget the how’s. Most people seem to get hung up on it. “But how can it happen, I just can’t see a way.” You don’t need to see the way, just focus on the end result and all the joy it will bring. Your actions will start moving you towards it, and things will just go your way. I see it happen every day. Now I see it happen with my goals coming into fruition.

How did I get past the non believing stage, I just kept at it. There are so many things logical and mysterious that all point to this fact. So I watched The Secret over 100 times, what the bleep around 50 times and read many other books. It has taken me just over 2 years to finally get to this stage. All I say is keep trying. You will see successes along the way and they will help you build your belief.

All Parts Of Life

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

For this year I want to follow a theme for how to improve your life in all areas. While my life is brilliant in some it’s catching up in others. I will share my experiences I have had so far in each aspect, hoping to help others towards their goals.

The main aspects I will be looking at (and please tell me if I have missed any) are

  • Relationships
  • Health
  • Wealth
  • Purpose

In terms of relationships I am speaking about any relationship with any other human being or yourself. They are different types of relationships that can be had, and as I will hopefully enable you to discover is that the relationship to yourself is the most important.

Health and Wealth are possibly the 2 largest chased after areas of someones life to improve. While they are both important, you must realize they are only a part of your life. If you have no purpose or no relationships how can you lead a fulfilling life?

Purpose is something that drives us all. We all want to know what it is, we have something driving us to complete or make a difference in some part of the world. It’s a fascinating area to learn as when it comes down to it, our purpose is life is what ever you want it to be, what ever makes you happy.

With all of these aspects, it is important to note, there is only one thing all of us are chasing, and that’s happiness. Once you achieve happiness in area’s of your life, those areas only ever get better. I look forward to our journey this year and that we all make this a great year.
